Disappointing, overhyped, special effects were terrible, story was bad

I waited to see this on Netflix. I was pretty shocked at how bad it was. IK it was tied to a "political agenda" ie, if you don't see this film you're the worst racist on the planet", type of hype.

But, I didn't like it, it was boring & cheesy. Not worth the hype.

Luke Cage was a much better and lower priced SERIES on Netflix. That was mostly outstanding.

Black Panther, boring, cheesy, terrible.

I thought it was pretty entertaining, with a good story and great special effects. I would rate it 8/10.

Great special effect? Good story? Are you on crack? The CGI in this was down right awful in many parts and the story is as average and bland as these kinds of movies can get.

All that matters is Trump.Trump.Trump. who voted Trump, you voted Trump. It was ok, nothing special, M.B. Jordan was great.

The thing thats so weird is why is this an Oscar nomination. It wasnt even the best super hero film of the year. And why didnt other great super hero film s get a nom. Which this is not a great super hero film.

Its just ok.

It was a generic superhero and I’ve seen much better. It’s sad it’s nominated for Best Picture because it’s black.

While I agree that the effects were hit/miss and the action mostly a let-down, I give the movie credit for many things. I liked nearly all of the characters (shouldn't have killed some of them) and that Korean casino scene was great. A lot of the things that people complain about are not nearly as bad as they say. Most of it suffers from being just a little underwhelming. Being overhyped makes the mediocre parts seem worse. It is a decent super hero film. By no mean do I think it is award worthy. But I don't think I have agreed with 90% of the results of award shows for decades.

I saw it on streaming as well, I also thought it was mildly disappointing. It just seemed to lack humour, and the humour there really wasn't that funny. It did have some interesting aspects, but overall it was kind of average. It had a lot of common tropes and cliche. Not completely bad, imo, but also not as great as some people claim.

Well it is what it is. No movie or series will ever be everybodies favorite regardless of how popular it gets in the entertainment world. It doesn't mean it's overhyped, but that you simply just have a different opinion than others. Good for you.

Not the best movie ever to me either but I enjoyed it the first time, and most recently the second time on Netflix. Michael B Jordan most definitely did a damn good job at being the bad guy in the movie.
