While you were distracted BP passed $700 Million Domestic!

BP is less than $15K away from passing $700 Million domestic. $43,500 worth of tickets were deposited into the BP total in just three days (my estimate for this weekend is $15K) after having only recognized $3K in the previous 6 days.

Where did the flush of dollars come from? Did theater owners just kick in the totals just to get BP off the few last remaining screens.

Did Disney just goose the total for bragging rights? Did they buy the tickets themselves for the positive publicity? It is going to happen and I am interested will there be any fan-fare.

I'm surprised that certain posters haven't weighed in on this skullduggery and conspiracy. Maybe the BLM faction bought the remaining tickets? Q-Anon maybe?

How about the Alt-Right? Maybe they bought the tickets in a reverse trolling false flag?

i wasn't distracted. been keeping an eye on this every week for months now. I didn't think it was going to make it but they strategically added theaters to push the number past 700 mill without a rerelase. They did the right thing as they got what they wanted. Crazy how the demand to see the film in theaters still creates revenue almost 6 months later even though the film has been available at home for months! Great milestone for the Black Panther cast and crew. Only 3rd in history! Wakanda forever, ha.

BP surpassing the $700 Million barrier was not lost on the media it seems:

The media has been watching the performance of BP because it has demonstrated that the movie is indeed something quite special. BP's reaching $700 Million did come at a cost to Disney as getting the movie back into theaters had to cost them. How Much? Who knows but it wasn't free to get that last $50K. My feeling is that Disney/Marvel is laying the groundwork for an Oscar (Feb 24, 2019) push for BP. I also feel that there will be an Oscar re-release to keep BP's positive momentum and energy flowing. Captain Marvel (March 8th, 2019) is up next and that means quite a lull in Disney related product in the marketplace between now and then. The Disney thinkers appear to be on point in their ability to think, plan and react to what they want to do and what they have to do to maintain mind-share in this Marketplace.

Lol you'd almost think they read the forum. It seems they did the same as happened with AWIT, as we discussed earlier. It shows they were willing to do what it takes to get it past 700 million, so yet another milestone for BP.
