Will purchasing the movie be another such moment for Disney/Marvel? BP merchandise has been quite popular but will that same popularity carry over to Blu-Ray sales? I'm not sure if BP will have a 3D release in the USA.
I'd buy a combo 4K 3D myself and something just tells me that of the MCU films BP will indeed have a special edition (or Director's Cut) release somewhere in the near future.
They aren't releasing Black Panther 3D blu-ray in the USA. I had to order it from amazon.co.uk and the UK release date for all disc formats is June 11, 2018.

Why do you think that Marvel would change things for Black Panther?Ryan Coogler has such a closeness to the material and certain filmed scenes of Wakanda and the relationship of W'Kabi and Okoye were quite beneficial to the film. Clearly it was more narrative and even though they were included as deleted scenes they appear to have been deleted due to time. Nothing definitive just speculation on my part. None of the MCU films has a Special Edition, Extended Cut, Director's Cut, a REAL Collectors Edition, etc but if ever there was a time to double dip this would be one of them.
