W'kabi....? (possible SPOILER!)

Why/how did W'kabi turn against T'challa so fast?
one minute he is T'challa's best friend, the next he is trying to hack him to death...
and for what? he didn't find klaue fast enough for him?
ffs.

ya it was a little far fetched

W'kabi basically Hated KLAW and had wanted him DEAD for 30 years(I think Klaw killed his dad) , He was upset that Tchalla's Dad never caught him while he was Panther....

when Tchalla became Pather he had High Hopes Tchalla would get him or Killed him, Then when Tchalla failed and Klaw got away, W'kabi basically lost all faith in Tchalla , felt he was going to be just like his dad....

then Kill-monger showed up with Klaws dead body, showed it to W'kabi, proved HE KILLED HIM, told him who he was, told him he had a claim to the throne, W'kabi now saw W'kabi as the King(or at least had a claim to the Throne)and put his trust and faith in him because he did what BOTH Tchalla and his dad failed to do and KILLED KLAW...

again, for me, I agree his Turn was a little quick and extreme, It doesnt totally not make sense, It just seems pretty Quick and Pretty extreme how fast he turns and the depths he turned...

Yeah...I understand him being deeply upset at Tchalla's failed mission ( again it was ONLY his first klaw mission!)
But to betray him so completely to the point of trying to kill him?!
Christ were is the loyalty? Or even friendship?
It's almost as if he never really loved Tchalla at all....

His character was really underdeveloped so his actions seem unrealistic.

He could’ve used a bit more development but I do see why he was “easily” swayed. As close of a friend as he was to T’Challa, setting his hopes too high was where he went wrong. W’Kabi figured T’Challa was finally - straight away - going to be the one to bring in Klaw after the former king had failed to do so for almost 30 years. After he finds out T’Challa let Klaw slipped in his first mission, he is visibly upset and states that things aren’t going to be any different under the new king. He indeed wrote T’Challa off quickly, but his desire to see change come to Wakanda was made clear. He grew tired of the same old thing and to his mind T’Challa wasn’t going to bring necessary that change (he wasn’t totally wrong).

Then when Erik suddenly shows up with Klaw and reveals who he is and what happened to his father, his faith in T’Challa and the old way of living only diminished further. Just look at him every time Erik talks about what Wakanda needs to do in order to improve life for their people; he was “seeing the light”. So as far as W’kabi was concerned, this Erik was the king, no, the savior Wakanda needed. And if he felt that eliminating his old friend was something he had to do in order to bring change (and follow his new king’s orders), then by all means he was going to do it.
