Finally saw it.....

First, holy crap....second weekend in and it took me multiple shots over multiple screenings at 3 theaters to find 2 damned seats together. I did NOT expect that. IMAX? Sold out. Regular? Sold out. Real 3D? Finally found two. Would've preferred Alamo Drafthouse, but at least this one had recliners.

Second, yes this was good. Not FANTASTIC but better than a lot of them. And since I'm not a big Black Panther fan (he was always just...there in Avengers until they played up his King angle and honestly, I found him most interesting when he was married to Storm and when he sat out most of Civil War because of his obligations until the end) that may've influenced me.

Third, what I did like was not in the movie, but in the audience. The positive vibe (ranium) that was in the audience after the film was definitely felt.

Lastly...Michael B Jordan you are quickly becoming a national treasure.

Michael B is good, but he plays the same character in every movie I've seen him in. I'd like to see him be something besides the arrogant, cocky, badass that he was in this,and Creed,and Fantastic Four.

Ya I too Liked it but didnt love it

I'm a huge CBM fan and Big MCU fan...

Black Panther is probably ranked 6 or 7 for me out of the 18 MCU films

My biggest problem was the climax, specifically the Terrible CGI and short and poorly shot final fight between Killmonger and BP

I almost feel something when wrong in Post Production for The CGI and Climax to turn out this badly, I just cant imagine Marvel Studios putting out the film like this intentionally, I feel maybe they ran out of time and couldnt fully get the CGI right, Maybe they had reshoots, Maybe the ending wasnt right or they didnt like it, decided to do reshoots really LATE and just couldnt get it right or something and then ran out of time....I feel something had to have gone wrong For The CGI to be that Poor, and the fight be that short and Poorly shot...

but thats my main complaint, and for me the ONLY thing keeping BP from being a truly great CBM....

I was happy with everything else, The Story, Villain, Performances by many different actors and actresses(especially M B Jordan and LWright) were all great, Loved most of the action(especially The Chase sequence when they are on top on the cars)

With An above average to Good Final fight and Good CGI, I would have ranked BP as A Great CBM...Maybe in the top 10 best ever....but the final 10 minutes IMO disqualifies it from those talks

I rate BP a 8 to 8.5 out of 10...

I feel its a homerun, IMO maybe the absolute Best Thing Marvel Studios does is pick directors....and With Black Panther they knocked it out of the park, got the perfect director that Masterfully got the themes,culture and Elements right...
