It's as though people outside the USA can clearly see the obvious PC message on the movie... and don't care about it.
And why in all hell are people calling it "the first black super-hero movie"... when it isn't? Must be because it belongs to a multi-billion franchise.
It's not fair to complain now when the exact same scenario happened last year with Wonder Woman. That too wasn't the first female super-hero movie but it's easier to advertise it as such even if it's not true. This year "racist" is the last year's "feminist". WW wasn't a bad movie but it surely wasn't as good as it's ratings suggest. How the BP will turn out is yet to be seen.
As for people outside the States not caring about the BP, well again the same can be said about Wonder Woman. True it earned big at home but worldwide only $409M (less than it earned domestically).
And why in all hell are people calling it "the first black super-hero movie"... when it isn't? Must be because it belongs to a multi-billion franchise.
The Black Panther appeared in Marvel comics in 1966 and definitely is Marvel's first Black Superhero.
Blade appeared in 1973
Falcon appeared in 1969

here, I'll make it easy for you. Check the words in Bold:
"And why in all hell are people calling it "the first black super-hero movie"... when it isn't? Must be because it belongs to a multi-billion franchise
"And why in all hell are people calling it "the first black super-hero movie"... when it isn't? Must be because it belongs to a multi-billion franchise.
Because Black Panther is Marvel's First Black Superhero.
Marvel's First Black Superhero show is Luke Cage.
For those calling Black Panther the First Black Superhero movie they are wrong.
Blade
Blank-Man
M.A.N.T.I.S.
Spawn
Meteor Man
Pluto-Nash (Bit of 'o' stretch I know. Added for giggles and grins.)
Steel
Cat Woman
Hancock
The Title of Marvel's First Black Superhero still belongs to Black Panther.
And the culprits are the critics who are calling it that.
Not ALL critics, some critics. So what is it that you want? Should those critics print a retraction?
Or is there a Disney/Marvel plot driven by USA social activism to subvert excellence and honesty in the form of marketing mediocrity as a product and presenting a BP movie as an example of excellence?
Do we need an investigation to find out who is behind this threat?
Black panther is JUST the tip of Okoye's spear!

It's PR and marketing... The Studios spend millions getting this message out (marketing budgets are in the tens of millions, if not more, for each marvel movie).. The media are eating it up as well because it's a great story for them and any controversy will just get bonus oublicity and stories to cover...
Chill... It's just a movie... In a couple of months once the marketing dies down, movie fans can assess the movie for what it is... Just a nother Marvel movie...
You're reading way too much into this... It's just a marketing campaign and it worked well for Wonder Woman, so they're trying something similar...
The encouraging thing is that Coogler, the co-writer/director, is actually quite good at filmmaking judging from how good Creed is... So it is possible that if he has been given enough control that Black Panther could be good... we'll have to see it to judge for ourselves...
Don't get too caught up in the press and marketing... You'll ruin the fun of experiening movies for yourself and making your own mind...
And these are all just toy / comicbook movies... it's product...
Ultimately, it's more interesting to think about than it is to watch.

There's a 2.5/4 review too, but I guess that's above average.
