It is not about formulas or guesses but Market Research Analytics. They are not always 100% accurate but they do use actual data.

People are quite sick of the SJW diversity. And after all that diversity pushed down the throat for years, peaking in the last xmas Last Jedi experience... now you have the Black Panther movie with zero diversity.
The movie will be rejected by many non-black people. It will make some nice money, but far from those predictions.
SJW this SJW that. Anyone else ever heard of this sort of mindless ranting by conservative snowflakes? No, it’s something completely new to me....
Oh, it’s going to feel soooo good when you’re proven wrong. But typcial of your kind, you’ll come up with any excuse for its success (“SJW wa wa waaa”). I’ll leave you to do what you do best, Sonny Boy. Project and whine non-stop on the internet as you do best, little snowy fairy.
I don't have any problem assuming that I was wrong, when that happens. My advantage is that I'm rarely (very rarely) wrong.
So mark my words: this movie won't make $100-$120 millions domestic in the opening weekend, as the prediction says. And I am confident about it. That's the reason why I keep calm and do not need to insult, as you do.
Besides your gut feel what are using for analysis as to why you feel BP will make less than $100 Million? Do you do market research?

shareActually all of these high expectations for the opening weekend is the worst thing to happen for Disney. If it falls anywhere below these numbers it will get tagged as an underperformer and after The Last Jedi that's the last thing they need.
