So, how does one listen to or purchase any of the songs from this show? I tried to find that tune of Jimmy's from the 'Hit List' production, 'Falling Through the Sky' on itunes or Imdb, but could not find it anywhere.

Do you mean "Broadway, Here I Come" ?

Not everything was released as singles, basically everything RENT2 was, but I think you want this, featured here on YT:
