After Elysium, i expected this to suck...

...finally watched "CHAPPIE" tonite and, to be honest, it was a lot better then i expected it to be after the disappointment of ELYSIUM..

It was over the top, and yes you had to suspend disbelief (though to be fair they did give themselves an out when Deon stated that his AI programming had the potential to be smarter then a human) but at the end of the day CHAPPIE was such such a fundamentally likable character...

It was hard not to enjoy this.

"Luke Skywalker has vanished."

That's how I felt. It's a flawed movie, but a very entertaining movie with some interesting things to say about technology and its rise.

Elysium has grown on me. I recently watched it again and ended up liking it a lot better the second time around.

I think all Blomkamp's films (shorts included) are rad as f--k. Chappie is my favorite.

Yeah, Elysium had the fatal flaw of its "med-beds" making no sense. I loved District 9, and this was somewhere in between. 7/10
