Cult classic?
I get the feeling it will be.
shareNo doubt in my mind. Chappie has all the earmarks of a cult classic.
shareThe visuals and set ups in the film remind me of Class Of 1999 movie.
shareCULT CLASSIC,
So many Lame Sci-Fi movies out there, All DC Comic hero's suck,{can we have a Gold Key Hero please} Interstellar, Jupiter Stupider,{Jupiter Ascending}
Chappie it great entertainment, I'm fifty six and I loved it, I watched it with my grandkids yesterday and they loved it,
The truth of the film it Nothing shapes you like being poor and leaning to cope on your own, its something money can't buy,
If this had been the directors first movie I think it would have been a big critical success. Its the most underrated film of the year and better than all of the big blockbusters of 2015

Definitely underrated. Particularly given that it finished strong, something a movie with a wild premise like this usually cannot pull off.

Without question, I would say it is the best movie of 2015.
One of my favorite movies, ever.

It is in my mind.
shareIt's one of those "so bad it's good" films.
shareIt's one of those "so bad it's good" films.Well, the acting/roles were 'good,' to a fault, but in terms of it being a cult classic is a distinction yet to be determined. While I'm not certain as to what constitutes, or what specific metric standard or criteria is applied to deem it as such, I do believe that it would be difficult to attain with the Transformers, Star Wars, Blade Runner and Terminators of cinema. Yet it's a fun and entertaining movie with a profound message and technological suggestion, which may cause it to fall a bit short of it being a CC, in terms of not enough whiz-bang?
No. It's not unique or peculiar enough for time to ever reveal it as a niche appealing film, and it's not awful enough to be god bad entertainment. It's just, meh. Not interesting or memerable, and it only got teeth gratingly stupid in the last twenty minutes.
Officially Canadian for 27 years. Never heard "aboot."
