Weaver and Jackman seemed out of place
I found the movie entertaining. But I think it would have been better if two characters had been removed entirely. No, not Ninja and Yo-Landi, but the Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver characters. They seem oddly disconnected from the plot, as if their scenes had been added after the script had been already finished. I believe you could remove their scenes entirely and get a better movie with a tighter script. Like, why have Jackman as a villain when there already is a villain, namely the gangster that Ninja and Yo-Landi owe money? Jackman doesn't really serve a special purpose here, and that big-ass robot and the over the top battle could have been scrapped with minimal modifications, too.
