Yeah, I love Short Circuit. It's a fun movie, but people can't compare that to this. As you said, Chappie questions things, learns, and grows, just like a child does, and I think that's the point of this movie. However, I had a real problem with the very, very end of the movie BECAUSE of what Chappie does. He's not god, and shouldn't try to play him/her/it. I realize he's trying to save all the "good" people, but that's not his decision to make, or his right to do.
