A complete ripoff of avatar. Hell they even stole the same shots and scenes from the knife into his chest to the very last scene of the eyes awakening... Hell they even got Sigourney Weaver.

So was District 9. Also, this movie has many important differences from Avatar

Yeah District 9 ripped of Avatar for sure. The fact that D9 came out five months earlier is irrelevant.

District 9 did not have literal scene copies. Where chappie did.
