The issue is not even the red head to black american swap...
Though that was incredibly odd on Hollywood's part. But no, the main issue for me is the little girl cast as Annie has no charisma and could not act. She was good in 'beasts of the southern wild' but as she got a bit older and did this film she demonstrated zero talent. Jamie Foxx was terrible too. I was so put off by the girls acting though.
