4/10. Here's why / Esta es la razón:

ANNIE 2014 is over-long, barely funny and unnecessary (the modern setting and the race changes don't contribute anything), but it does have a couple of improvements over the original: WILL STACKS ("DADDY" WARBUCKS' counterpart) appears on-screen before meeting ANNIE, so the audience can get to know him not just through her point of view. Their relationship gets more screen-time than the moments where ANNIE feels awe at new things. This version of ANNIE is a know-it-all, but she's not annoying. Actually, she has more personality than the previous versions. Unfortunately, Quvenzhané Wallis only emotes when she talks; when she sings, she's as bland as a person who writes without emojis. Not just texts, but also e-mails. You can even draw them in letters! This remake emphazises the idea that MISS HANNIGAN deserves redemption. Cameron Díaz didn't seem aware of this, because her performance is more over-the-top than her 2 predecessors to the point where the character becomes a cartoon. As long as we pretend the songs needed to be arranged with pop beats, the covers are good because they still have the same melody (except for I'M GONNA LIKE IT HERE). The problem is the over-reliance on auto-tune, even with actors that have proven they can sing. It actually made me miss all the screaming, because at least it showed the actors were feeling the songs. There's a scene where a reporter asks ANNIE about her Twitter account, she looks confused, and BOBBY says he created the account for her. Why would he say that in front of the reporter?

ANNIE 2014 es demasiado larga, casi nada chistosa e innecesaria (el escenario moderno y los cambios de raza no aportan nada), pero sí tiene un par de mejoras sobre la original: WILL STACKS (la contra-parte de «DADDY» WARBUCKS) aparece en pantalla antes de conocer a ANNIE, para que el público pueda conocerlo no solo a través del punto de vista de ella. Su relación recibe más tiempo que los momentos en que ANNIE siente asombro al ver cosas nuevas. Esta versión de ANNIE es una sabelotodo, pero no es irritante. De hecho, ella tiene más personalidad que las versiones anteriores. Desafortunadamente, Quvenzhané Wallis solo demuestra emociones cuando habla; cuando canta, es tan sosa como una persona escribe sin emojis. No solo mensajes de texto, sino también correos electrónicos. ¡Hasta se pueden dibujar en las cartas! Este remake enfatiza la idea que la SRTA. HANNIGAN merece una redención. Cameron Díaz no parecía estar consciente de esto, porque sobre-actúa más que sus 2 antecesoras hasta que el personaje se vuelve una caricatura. Siempre que pretendamos que las canciones necesitaban ser arregladas con ritmos pop, los covers son buenos porque igual tienen la misma melodía (excepto por I'M GONNA LIKE IT HERE). El problema es la extrema dependencia en el auto-tune, incluso con actores que han probado que pueden cantar. De hecho, me hizo extrañar todos los gritos, porque al menos esos mostraban que los actores estaban sintiendo las canciones. Hay una escena en la que un reportero le pregunta a ANNIE sobre su cuenta de Twitter, ella se ve confundida y BOBBY dice que él la creo para ella. ¿Por qué diría eso frente al reportero?
