confused about Richie, help?

hi,im a little confused about richie. he seemed closely connected to rosie & Hugo, was the son of aishas colleague, but hector didnt seem to know him. at the pool when richie was taking pics of hector, he said "hey, arent you connies friend?" as if he didnt know him well.was that a script error, or have i missed something? i know its not important but its just bugging me

I spotted thoat, but I felt there's no reason why Hector would necessarily know the families of his wife's employees. He didn't really know Richie at the party in ep.1 (when he asked Richie to play cricket with the kids, he was unsure of Richie's name).

Hector seemed to meet Richie for the first time at that party, and might have seen him in court. Other than that, even though Richie's obsessing about Hector, they've never met.
