Aisha's Nationality (backgound)

So now we know, in the show. I think she said she was half Indian and half Creole, from Mauritius.
I hope that appeases our friend 'Sunshine Pink'

reply

haha I think the only think that would make her (possibly him) happy is if they reshot the whole thing with an Indian actress and everyone under mind control to like Rosie.

How am I mocking her? I was being serious, I hope now she feels better that they have mentioned and confirmed about Aisha being Indian. She certainly complained about it in the other original posts that I DID reply to.
You are the one calling her opinion WRONG, not me! The thread was about Aisha's Nationality NOT 'Sunshine Pink'. I mentioned her in the post and said I hoped it appeased her because it really seemed to upset her. I never attacked her opinion or even said she wasn't entitled to make it. I only told her to let it go and explained why I didn't think it was justified because they hadn't addressed Aisha's nationality in the show. Please go back and read them, my other posts, because you always seem to read something negative in them that just isn't there. You're always on the attack when replying to someone and want to bully them into accepting your opinion as fact. Geese, lighten up already. I told you before I don't come here to argue with other posters just to discuss issues, without being attacked.

In fairness to the OP - SPfromOZ's post wasn't about SunshinePink, they were just creating a thread to show that they explained Aisha's background for the series. I was the one that ran away with it. And, at the end of the day, it's an internet forum and when you put your opinions out there with such, ferocity, you're opening yourself up to people joking about it.

I dont think anyone here understands the concept of race.

Actor who plays Aisha is black- she is from Nigeria.

If Rosie and Gary were played by people who were black would it be fair to say- oh but they are from Australia. In the book they were white, so why cant they be in the film?

Same with Aisha (for those who keep saying her race is not significant, why then does Harry keep saying 'black bitch'???) .....there are 1.21 billion people in India alone, you telling me there wasnt a single actress who could have taken the role of Aisha?

Really?? Its disgusting a whole race was discounted because according to some people on here 'there arent any Indian actresses'

reply

I'm super late on this but if you're going to complain about Aisha being played by an actor of African descent be fair and complain about Hector, a character of Greek background being played by an Italian/Dutch actor, too. Gee whizz

She's British and clearly mixed-race. If you have to have such a bee in your bonnet about something trivial at least know what you're talking about.
