Bilal's Perfect Point

I loved the scene with Rosie and Bilal in the car outside the pub, he told Rosie that the smoking guy was standing there to watch them because he didn't trust Bilal because 'why would a good white girl be hanging around with a guy like him', wheras in all actual fact it was Rosie and her husband who were the drunks and Bilal was the decent living man, he has to deal with unjustified prejudice daily and Rosie creates unnessary dramas without thought of how her actions are affecting EVERYONE else - so far, Bilal is my favorite character, good on him.

I agree entirely.

(I know this post isn't really adding anything to the discussion, but I think you said it all)

Me and Brits are done with story time and we wants to get our recess on

reply

Bilal is judgemental, controlling and has a god complex ; 'stay away from my wife...we dont like your sort'

lol...ironic since he was apart of that world and now he thinks he is above. I really cant stand people who think they are better than someone else because of choices they once made themselves

reply

I agree, sunshine -- what a hypocrite.

It is not "judgmental" to make decisions about who and what you want in your life. You see exactly what having Rosie for a friend has done to everyone else, of course he doesn't want them in his life.

reply

Rosie wasn't all bad to people around her, she was the only one who supported Anouk's mother with her battle with cancer. She was an irresponsible idiot as well, but no worse than a lot of other characters.

reply

He was right and it's sad that people still think like that in this day and age.
