This is a compelling but truly sad story, an amazing effort by Carol Morley to tell it in full.

Quite intriguing, and suprising i only just heard about this story on the news 3 days ago.
shareThe film looks amazing and I can't wait to see it. So sad that the person will be better remembered by anonymous cinema goers than the family or friends she once surely had.
I'm a fountain of bloodshare

Her friends and family do and will miss her - but there's only so much you can do when someone wants to be left alone.
shareSince I posted I have seen the film and realise that she had family and friends to miss her. The point about her responsibility in isolating herself, hence leading to her lonely demise, was well-made by her ex-BF Al and implied by some of the other participants.
my vessel is magnificent and large and huge-ishshare
movie is on channel 4 (in UK) now, just bumping this, since the Guardian article is still available online.
I think the christmas presents part of the story made me feel so much for the poor girl.
