How long before someone came looking for you?
I honestly can't imagine it being more than a few days. A week tops.

Noah's Ark is a problem.
Probably about 3/4 days.
I usually speak to my mum for a catch up about once a week. Even if we're both busy & forget to call we email all the time. If I wasn't responding to her emails, voice messages etc she'd probably raise the alarm after a few days.
Plus if I didn't turn up for work & they couldn't reach me they'd probably call my emergency contact (my sister) to enquire where I was.
Sadly, cases like this are far from unique. :(
Natalie Wood of Sydney, Australia - died at home, body not discovered till eight years later.

It seems like the people whose disappearance go unnoticed are retirees/unemployed, combined with those having cut ties with close family (or outlived same).
Basically, if you have a job and don't show up...I think employers/fellow workers are going to look for you, or contact family who's listed in your file.
I can go a week or so without speaking to my various family members...but not a week without showing up at work!
