He was a loving husband and he took care of Gosling's son. I'm pretty sure he loved him too.

No matter what, he stayed loyal to his family. Now that's what I call dedication.

Kofi is my favourite character in this film. Just goes to show how good the characterisation in this film is, even for more minor characters.

The kid was still a F up. Respect to him for staying in that relationship for as long as he did but what does it say about his and Mendez parenting skills that your kid is a screw up.

Whenever I see Ali M, who has become something of a star these days, I still think of Kofi. A great character.

Trayvon you don't know what a real man looks like. Kofi's character was the stand up dude in this film. I loved his character.
