the girl who was always outside the house? Even in the pouring rain, at night, she's out there by herself, walking her dog? And she contributed absolutely nothing to the plot?! I thought for sure her purpose was that she would be asked by the cops if she saw anything since the cops saw her outside the house, but nope. SO what gives?
shareJust like the character John Fleton she was weak and quiet but for different reasons. She saw the bad in Richie actually seeing him pull the gun out to kill John at the beginning but she said nothing to anyone. She knew Richie was a bad man but it never got to police from her telling her parents or anything. She was afraid like John Fleton was his whole life but she is young and has the opportunity to change that sooner and not live a crappy life like John Fleton.
That is what I take from it.
