Why? It's a "fictional" attempt by Junior Gotti to clean-up his father's public image. "The Teflon Don" was NOT a nice guy, he was a cold-blooded killer. John Travolta is merely embarrassing himself. Lindsay Lohan? She just NEEDS the work (IF she makes it to the movie set, which I doubt!).

OK, let's agree to all that. Nobody in their right mind says that this film is going to be CLASSICS like those.
However, that doesn't necessarily make this a bad film. And I think you are wrong about Lohan.
Basically what I'm hearing from you is that another crime story should NEVER BE ATTEMPTED AGAIN since we have classics like the above.
We also have good film like The Departed, Once Upon a Time in America, Donnie Brasco.
I hope you are wrong about this film and I hope to be serving you up some crow on a cold platter after Gotti is released.

NO!!! It's just that I don't want to spend twelve or fifteen bucks, of MY money, to watch revisionist history from John Gotti, Junior!! Junior Gotti SHOULD be rotting-away in a prison cell, somewhere. I don't know WHAT happened (either a jury pool that was tainted, or a bad job by a prosecutor) but Junior Gotti IS dirty!! Lindsay Lohan? I'll bet you SHE doesn't even make it to the first day of shooting (pardon my pun, there!).

Look, my man, John Gotti, Junior, that's Junior Gotti, got it, sold the rights to his father's story. No, he ISN'T writing it. No, he ISN'T producing it. No, he ISN'T directing it.
