Shia LaBeouf really????

he's not a bad actor but i really can't see him playing junior gotti. i hope its just a rumor

reply

Was thinking the same thing!!!

reply

Plenty of other young actors that could probably fit the role. But if Shia is doing it, I guess we'll have to deal with it. Maybe he'll surprise us?

reply

The kid that likes to fight from the TV show "Jersey Shore" could have worked.

reply

sorry but i gotta say it, i think jason cerbone (jackie jr) could play gotti junior lol. i know he's only known for sopranos but hey i'm just suggesting plus it could help his career out.

reply

the perfect actor for this role is without a doubt william demeo. i had a chance not too long ago to check out a few clips of his new movie goat and he's a natural for this and any role like it. i saw him on the sopranos a few times and after playing al pacino in analyze that and young carlo gambino in boss of bosses he's got the "rap sheet" to prove he's the best choice for this role hands down.

All I know is bad casting can screw up a movie.

Johnny Depp was not right for the Donnie Brasco roll. He has little baby hands he could never hurt anyone with those hands unless he had a baseball bat or a gun in those hands. In the movie he never really hit anyone. He back handed the club owner did not even punch him because it would not have looked real. The Japanese waiter it worked with the other guys, but not with him.

Real street guys who are small pick up something and use that not their fists.

I like the suggestion of Cerbone, he was excellent on The Sopranos.

they seem to be desperate now. from what im hearing hopefully they find someone good

lol shia lebeouf would be an automatic disgrace. he's a terrible actor and he thinks he is better than robert de niro (he was quoted as saying such) therefore i hope he dies of a heroin overdose. in reality though, john gotti jr. was relatively short in stature, but husky and very alpha male. tom hardy is 5'10 but could be a good choice, especially after seeing him in brilliant role of Bronson. obviously an italian-american would be most ideal for he cast but good young italian actors just don't exist anymore. all they care about is new jersey and the trash that belongs with it. my other main choice is michael fassbender. take a look at this imdb pic of him:
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2040053248/nm1055413

for sammy the bull i'd definitely go for Billy Crudup as his right hand man, and man who would eventually bring gotti down in court. this pic of crudup looks strikingly similar to sammy the bull:
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3988363264/nm0001082

other possibilities are colin farrel, sam rockwell, michael sheen, patrick wilson for either role i suppose. But Fassbender/Crudup for the main two are my choices.

Why not just get somebody in a big rat suit to play Gravano?

reply

Because that would spoil the ending.

"Don't cry, it is to be; in time I'll take away your miseries and make 'em mine... D'Evils."

reply

Good idea. Here in Brooklyn, there's a scab development being built across the street. Aguy from the construction union in a rat suit is there every weekday protesting. He's very nice, doesn't look like he has herpes and has much better presence than that Chia Pet LeBitch creep.

reply

Why not Jeffrey Dean Morgan? "Magic City"? He fits the bill...
