When they have a problem with the plant....

and they are losing gold out the end, why do they act like it's a big deal? Surely they can scoop it back up and run it again. I mean they know exactly where it is, just scoop it up and run it again when the plant is running properly.

Well, if the gold isn't being captured and running out as tailings that's a big problem. No one wants to re-run tailings.

But along those lines, I think it's funny when they figure out every hour of not running pay dirt is causing them to lose some amazing amount of money. They have so many periods when they run out of pay dirt to run it surely offsets.

Right. Re-running tailings is very costly for the amount of return because, for the most part, all of the gold has already been collected from the tailings. So they lament losing the gold, for sure, but to re-run the tailings wouldn't probably recover enough gold to cover the cost of the fuel. It's a situation where they don't want to lose ANY gold on the first pass through, because the cost to run the plant is already there. Recovering lost gold from tailings means the plant has to be run a second time for a tiny return.

I think Parker either said this week or last week that it was worth $20,000 for every hour he wasn't running his new wonder-dredge. How he arrived there I don't know

I was wondering about that since season 1.
