I'm getting over this show.

I liked this show in the beginning. I found it interesting to see how they get the gold out of the ground. For me that's what this show should be. I want to see how different miners pull gold from the ground with all the various techniques used to do so in different areas. They could delve more into the smelting and refining processes too. But, that is not this show. This show is just another reality show now. It's much more about the "competition" of the 3 crews than it is about gold. Honestly, i don't care if Todd Hoffman's gamble pays off (again). I don't care if Tony builds a functioning dredge from the wreckage of an old one (again). And I don't care if Parker pisses off his crew by trying to be a shrewd businessman (again). This show is supposed to be about GOLD. It's NOT supposed to be about Todd asking God for more luck in every episode, Or Dave threatening to leave every damn season because Todd's not doing right. To sum it up, More Mining, Less Whining. And quit with all the religious stuff. I respect his beliefs, but I don't share them. I don't need "the word of God" shoved down my throat in every episode. We get it Todd, the name of your crew (316 Mining) says enough. You praise Jesus on YOUR time, not mine. At this point it will be a miracle if I can keep watching until the end of the season.

At least you used periods.

Holy text wall!

But seriously, this year could be a game changer for the Hoffman's.

reply

Agreed. I quit watching this show (LIVE) every year.

This show should really be cut to 30 min episodes. You spend 5 mins watching previously aired content in the beginning of the show, when they return from commercial its 2 min recap, etc. Large portions are just fluff/filler crap.

Show me 7-8 mins of good/new content from each crew.

Such is the state of reality TV though. Thank God (pun intended) for streaming...commercial free & allows me to FWD through the crap and previously aired recaps. I can get through an episode in about 25-30 mins.

same -- DVR it and skip to the good parts.

and NEVER WATCH THE COMMERCIALS!!!
