HUGE missed opportunity by the producers

If the idea behind a good reality show is the same as any good story you need some conflict and drama in the mix every now-and-then. Instead of wasting that ENTIRE episode of Todd, Jack, Thurber and the Kid trying to work the Buckland on their own (where the ONLY drama that episode was a broken hose seal)why on earth did they not use that episode to give us a showdown between the Hoffman's and that jerk claim owner who guaranteed Todd there was "gold at the bottom" because "the dredge couldn't reach it"? As soon as their excavator hit bedrock in the previous episode and they realised the tailings were sitting right on top and there was NO pay layer at all and that the dredge did in fact get everything -- I wanted to see them drag that smug d!ckish claim owner right there in front of the excavator and let him see for himself that his claim doesn't pan out. WHY DIDN'T THE PRODUCERS GIVE US THIS SHOWDOWN!?! It was the logical arc to the story and a real good angle for an episode: The Hoffman's Prove Their Claim Has No Gold To The Owner That Made Them Dig Down 100 Feet. I would have LOVED to see that smug jerk get hauled on the carpet for touting a totally mined-out claim! Instead the producers gave us an hour of Papa Squeeky and The God Squad running dirt and fixing a blown-out hose -- yeah, never seen that before on this show. If any of the producers are reading this: Smarten Up And Stop Being Lazy Giving Us The Same Crap Over And Over! You Blew A Great Opportunity To Show Us Something Different -- Some Real Conflict And Drama.
