and one twenty-something kid left and reopened the door only to yell "THIS MOVIE SUCKS!" before walking away. the theater was about half full at a packed movie house. There were many people shaking their head in disappointment as the credits rolled while some even wishing they got their money back.
I would advise people to stay away from this and see SPLIT. GOLD is an 'ok' rental when you have nothing else going on.
As the first showing on Thursday was in the evening, that's BS. LOL!

After I got over the initial shock of Matthew McConaughey's "new look", I began to enjoy the movie. Beautiful soundtrack, beautiful visuals of the jungles of Indonesia, and funny dialogue! And, it has a bittersweet ending.
shareI liked both movies, but I think GOLD was the better of the two. Most of today's ADD audiences do not have any appreciation for a movie like this. No CGI, No massive body counts, No superheroes, No boobies, No explosions etc etc. Just good acting and a good story based on a true events.
