Are we to believe after all he's gone through and all the suspicion, that he is just going to go to the local Currency Exchange and cash a check for $82,000,000?

It wasn't a cheque...it was a statement for an account based in Gibraltar.

You do like the real Canadian players did. Move to a tax haven Caribbean island with no extradition like the Caymans. I am sure a sly guy like Kenny could find a way to sneak into Mexico and take a boat to the islands.

I think it was more likely proof that his friend was alive and thinking of him, than gaining financially.

Yep. They stated Acosta took off with 160 or so million. Hence the 82M bank statement along with the contract.
