Soundtrack

Thought the music was top notch, apart from that I was fairly disappointed by the movie. Amy Adams aswell, she was brilliant

can't believe o'russel used duke ellington's jeeps' blues before woody allen did in a film.
it may be a bit too loose and bluesy for woody's taste.
he likes the more kinda "elegant " stuff i think.

for me it was gold. golden. and the line about it saving their lives,
i can relate. when i was a younger lad findin my way thru life and the music biz etc.,
jazz and particularly ornette coleman did the same for me.
i often used that same line to describe it.

awesome film and music.

and so what it's like goodfellas i mean beethoven can be a lot like mozart
every jazz guy has much similarity

and so do every one of us to other folks etc.

let's celebrate the fact that at least we're getting this quality imitation
and not the homogenized mind numbing spirit crushing stuff we're used to
( to borrow heavily from another great film.)

btw

woody did use a similar song in mighty aphrodite
called lil' darlin by count basie

so frkn slow, like jeeps' blues
molasses
and epicly cool

Wish they would have stuck with Duke's song through the credits instead of quickly cutting to the "contemporary hit."
