They both were. But that's easy, they made it easy on the ladies to bring it. Now- Bale was sexy even with his comb over and sick fake glued down hair and protruding belly. Now let's see them pull that off!
shareObviously this is as subjective as subjective gets, but I definitely felt Amy Adams was the hotter of the two. I think the wardrobe choices played a big role in this as Amy had a FAR sexier wardrobe in this film than Jennifer did. Some of those outfits should be illegal, lol.

shareI wonder how much the age of the viewer has to do with the responses to this question. The connection may be indirect, as in younger viewers may have seen more of Lawrence's films compared to Adams's. Amy is also several years older than Jennifer, but to my eyes they are both in their primes, so I think it might be more the indirect connection to age that is at work here. Having said that I do think Jennifer still has a bit of baby fat in her face that, to me, slightly detracts from her appearance.
There are also people who don't like red hair, so there's that, too.
For me Amy is clearly the more attractive, but they both are attractive.

Given the age gap I think you're right to expect that younger audiences would find Jennifer Lawrence more appealing. I think Adams and the wardrobes she was given to wear made her smoking hot in this movie. But I could also see how without all the Hollywood make up artists and glitz she could have a very 'girl next door' look.
Amy Adams without question.
