Finally saw it last night...
It was indeed an odd Xmas day as far as film choices goes...
Saw Passengers (pretty good film)
then watched Bone Tomahawk at the house (lol crazy crazy western film right there)
and then for some reason I had the urge to finally give this a chance...
maybe because I'm single myself and feel a lot like Theo did in this film.. unattached to most everyone around you so the thought at finding comfort through whatever means is something I felt I could relate to at the moment...
Now while I enjoyed the film, as it was def a unique concept on an old thematic story.... The search for love and finding happiness... (though this film def. encompass more than just that simple theme)
Overall id say I pre-judged this film as odd and not of my taste but after watching it id say for the most part it was well acted and I felt invested within the story... I felt for Theo. losing people, as we all do in life is never easy, be it by our choices or outside forces.... Specially since I'm going through a rough patch myself at the moment... Overall I enjoyed this film.. it brought much thought and introverted examinations of ones self.. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it or perhaps not...
Overall a decent heartfelt film 6/10
