Good movie.....great soundtrack

I'm probably a bit biased going in. I interviewed both Steadman and Ben Kweller around 2000 for a radio show I was running. Was stricken by both, not only as a fan of the music, but both were some of the nicest people I ever met over numerous interviews.

I have to say I'm going on two days straight of listening to the soundtrack. Especially Sing Along. It's a shame that pop junk in film gets nominated for awards and win recognition, yet true gems like these barely make a ripple.

I will say this, I'm not usually into this kind of music. I'm a die hard hip hop fan. Real hip hop though. And the music in this movie was outstanding. I need to buy the soundtrack

well,

me too, i loved the songs in the movie but...
the songs sound very too similar alike "Dashboard Confessional" band'songs. i called that style of music : "folk garage-band acoustic".

If you listen ever and ever again "Sing Along" song, you will have the impression this is a uncomplete-demo song from Coldplay (in the good way, and in the bad way).

i'm glade the soundtrack was release on CD ! good thing !

Was looking back at my old posts, and saw your response.

Funny you mention Coldplay. I actually hear more of a Radiohead influence. But it's definitely a mix of influences. The songs have held up well over the past few months.
