If it lasts it won't be too long. It's funny that American Dreams got cancelled because I feel like it was ahead of it's time. Now Mad Men is all the rage and shows are clamoring to be like it.
I expected Fefe Dobson to come back as Tina Turner.

I'm starting to think we often watch the same shows. lol. Awesome! American Dreams has been a favorite of mine. I'm glad that The Playboy Club adapts the same approach by inviting modern artists to do occasional live performances as 60's icons. They've already got Javier Colon to play Ray Charles. I can see Fefe Dobson as Tina Turner, for sure.
I'm now thinking of who Haley Reinhart can play, since she does have an old-style voice, especially when she sings jazz and soul.

That line alone could be a premise for a new sci-fi show. LOL. I'm already excited for Javier's performance on the show. Oh my, Haley would've made a convincing Peggy Lee. Maybe a heavy make-up can make her look older. Or she could simply be a young aspiring jazz singer.
If Tessa Thompson gets to star on the show, I'd also love to see her take on the stage at some point.

I feel sorry for Javier Colon as it appears we will never see his appearance. I wish it had run the 13 weeks.
American Dreams featured protesters against the Vietnam War. There was nothing wrong with its ratings, but with the situation with Iraq, certain people may not have liked the plot. Just my opinion. I loved that show.
