Wasn't Heavily Promoted?

I was thinking all day today that The Playboy Club was doomed from the start. People can say that it was terrible writing, acting, or plot line whatever I love the show. But months leading up to the premiere of The Playboy Club I never saw Amber Heard, Eddie Cibrian, or Laura Benanti on any of the talk shows promoting it, It wasn't till August that NBC started running ads for it. But it was heavily promoted in the recent Playboy Magazine issue with Laura Benanti on the cover.

Anyone else agree?

I don't know how much the local NBC'stations wanted to promote this. I think viewers knew about it they just didn't care (enough).

I thought the plot was interesting and feel bad that we are left hanging without knowing the ending.

Disagree it was one of a few shows outside of "Whitney", and "Up All Night" that were heavily, heavily promoted months before the premiere. The commercials for the show began like in June,July, August. I got the impression that NBC had some vested interest in the show through the marketing.
