Just watch Prime Suspect (Its the only decent drama on NBC)

I'm a lover of quality TV and I've seen a ton of crime dramas. Anyone want to see the return of complex and authentic crime drama return to broadcast. Then you need to watch Prime Suspect. I agree Critic Maureen Ryan comment that this is strong chracter driven procedural much like NYPD Blue. It just need audience that patient to allow it reach it's potential.

The Current lineup of Crime Procedurals all over television have a stand formula. which makes them redundant, predictable, and not very distinct. Why is that broadcast gets the most production money but produces the lowest quality of work on TV.

Prime Suspect has good dialogue, great ensemble cast With Maria Bello as the lead, and a true Gritty Atmosphere your not going find anywhere else on broadcast. If you want something to tide you over before the three only Complex and ambitious crime dramas come back. e.g. Justified, South Land, The Closer

Then you can't go wrong with Prime Suspect. It possibly the only Crime procedural that is willing to avoid the cliche and bring back real grit to broadcast.

The Playboy Club was far from the best quality shows on TV right now. So your allegory is squandered. Prime suspect has some very subtle and adult material that not being done anywhere else on broadcast right now. Seeing how The Chicago Code is not coming back for a second season. I think it will be some time before some tries to bring back complex crime dramas. So supporting the only smart Crime procedural on broadcast right now would be good idea. To convince the Big four networks to start adding intelligence back to broadcast TV.

I agree. I watched the first episode of Prime Suspect and fell in love with it. I really enjoy shows that leave room for character development. Maria Bello was really great.

That's another reason why I like Parenthood. Even though the pilot gave us a good idea of who each character was, there are so many characters and so many relationships going on that each character's growth is evident in each episode.

Make sure you look in somebody's sock drawers. Rich people have hilarious sock drawers.
