NBC To make remaining episodes available

So I guess we all know by now that the series was cancelled, but I found this article saying that NBC are considering (in a few weeks time) either moving the show to saturday nights or making the show available online. Heres the link (its in the last paragraph/section): http://patrickmunn.suite101.com/nbc-cancels-free-agents-a392077

I saw an interesting rumor on the creators Twitter today that they are working on a deal with Bravo channel to keep it going.

I emailed Patrick Munn (the TV journalist who said NBC were gonna make epis available) about this and this was the response I got:

Whenever a show is axed by a broadcast network rumours persist from fans that the show will be picked up by a cable network or some other outlet. In the case you have illustrated the series creator mentions Bravo. Okay a few things, had Bravo initially commissioned the series then it would have been for a limited run (8-10 episodes) on a farely meager budget (around the million dollar per episode mark). The fact that it was commissioned by NBC who were paying just a tick over 3 million dollars per episode means that the economics are VERY difficult to work out and after speaking to a contact at NBC they confirmed that no such negotiations were happening between NBC Universal and Bravo. Furthermore given the prior mentioned economic constraints the only two cable channels who could afford to pick up the series are USA and TNT and both networks have already allocated their budgets for the current fiscal year. So this is a pipe dream, nothing more. Time to let the Bunnies die.

Although I saw potential in the series, it had more strikes against it than pros. So many people hadn't even watched it and they were condemning it. For one, the Playboy Brand, It was set in the 60s era, therefore going to be compared to Mad Men(although the shows were completely different), The PTC boycotting, Timeslot against established shows, then last but not least....Eddie Cibrian's personal life. All of this outweighed the actual drama within the show. Some people didn't even want to find out whether or not it was a good show. So it was inevitable the show wasn't going to succeed. I've clearly seen worse on network tv, thats why I know the show being overly sexy isn't one of them. I personally feel the network should just go ahead and air the last remaining episodes. I don't care what night they put it on, if these actors recorded these shows...let the few people who actually liked the show see them.
