TNT move rumors?
I keep hearing rumors that TNT is interested in TPC because they are planning on finding a good contingency plan for their NBA games not being aired (the NBA is in a lockout). Is this true?

shareHope it is! TPC can't be over
shareI hope so :(
shareI would like if this happens. What's your source? _____~ I close my eyes lost in a memoryJust like a candle in the wind ~
shareIf you're hoping for a TNT move not only you would have to root for TNT picking it up, but you would also have to root for the NBA owners and players not getting a deal done to end their lockout, because if they ever make a deal then TPC has a very little chance of getting into TNT.

Good point.
I hate that I allowed myself to get sucked into this show (flaws and all) only for it to be canceled after 3 episodes and leave me hanging wondering what would have become of all the characters. I guess I have to face the facts that the show is done.

I just read that the deal was canceled, so I guess there is still hope for TPC
shareAs a big NBA fan and a TPC fan, I am somewhat mixed about that. But still, I hope up TNT picks it up, because I don't think Bravo would (Bravo and NBC) are owned by the same company. Yet the creators want Bravo to pick it up. I dunno but I would seek TNT if I were one of the creators.

I think AMC wold also be a good network, pair it up with Mad Men
shareNO. Won't do well because of the Mad Men comparisons.

Not really if you consider now TNT has 2 weeks in November to fill air time. TPC would be a good replacement for the canceled NBA games.
shareIt's not going to another network. From tvguide:
"20th and Imagine have no plans to shop the show elsewhere."

Can't argue with that. Playboy Club is dead.

If they're not shopping this show anywhere that doesn't mean networks can show interest and make the creators change their minds.
shareI'm sure all the other networks are lining up around the block to beg NBC to let them take over the first show that bombed of the season.

I totally know what you mean.
Amazing how big corporations have millions to waste. They were in the middle of shooting episode 5 or 6 when they announced the cancellation. So how many millions is that down the drain? Wow.

I'm pretty sure there's a part of the Television business that most people don't
understand. It seems to me that it can't be just:1-Show fails.2-Let's pull the plug.3-Let's lose millions.4-Let's put on another new show.
Somehow there's got to be more than this.
The "more to this" part is that if one of your shows becomes a hit it can make up for lots of complete failures. The potential profits of a LOST or Seinfeld are amazing.
