Still shooting in hopes of getting the show a new home
That's what i read today so perhaps there's still
some chance that the show can be saved.

Good! I think a show deserves more than 3 episodes to build a strong audience anyway. The ratings it recieved seemed more than enough to survive on cable as well.
shareI hope it gets picked!! I loved it
shareYES! I hope that it is picked up by a cabel network. It's a good show.
''If he's an idol, I don't want to know who's a hero!''
I see no link here to prove the show is still shooting. Prove it is.
shareIt's been reported by Entertainment Weekly, check their website.

Okay found it. Claims need to be backed up. This refutes the claims people have been making here that there are three more episodes completed and available online right now.
Here is the article. http://ca.eonline.com/news/playboy_club_cursed_eddie_cibrian/267659?ut m_source=eonline&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=imdb_topstor ies
The only reports I had seen were that episode six was in production when the show was cancelled.
The new story just confirms that they were going to finish episode six before quitting/pausing.
So episodes 4 & 5 (one of which has a USO plot) are finished, and episode 6 (rumored to be a Halloween plot) is being finished.
You don't know if 4 and 5 are finished, they may have yet to be edited. Take what you read with a grain of salt. They are trying to create a buzz of course, to generate interest. They may want to complete the six but it doesn't mean they ever will.
shareAn episode (or film etc.) is considered to be in post-production once filming has wrapped.
So while episodes 4 & 5 might still need some editing, or other post-production, they have wrapped, and are essentially existing episodes.
I expect this is because going back to re-shoot is expensive and requires all the old cast etc. Editing, or re-editing could still be done years later.

I also heard the show was still taping because they were seeking out another network. But there was an accident on the set last night where Eddie Cibrian had to be rushed to the hospital, because his heel got caught under a 200lb steel door. So don't know when he'll be back on the set shooting, but good to hear they're atleast trying to see if the show could get picked up by a cable network. I do see potential, so I hope it works out...and hope all is well with Eddie and he'll be back up and working soon.
shareThat's bull!!! They are filming these episodes in order to have a profitable 'The Playboy Club: The Complete Series', including the nude scenes filmed for the European markets, Blu-Ray with enough episodes in the stores by Christmas in order to recoup their losses. Nobody with a brain thinks a network will pick this stinkbomb up!
Keep in mind 20th Television has also pre-sold the show to overseas markets, so completing the 6 episodes is to their advantage.
I can't imagine there's any chance of this happening. If this were a smart, innovative, "caviar-to-the-general" kind of show that just failed, cruelly, to find the audience it deserved, maybe one of the cable networks would pick it up, and its merits could be appreciated by a smarter subscription audience. But it isn't. I wasn't just toned down for network broadcast, it was dumbed down as well. Why should any other network believe in it?
The Republican Plan: repeal all reform; collect payoffs; go yachting (but not in the Gulf).
The show wasn't "dumbed down" at all...I think that people thought what it was going to be and didn't tune in, but it's the oposit. The show has a great plot just set at "The Playboy Club. The plot is thick and rich.
shareI just read that the series will still be shown in Canada on CityTV (I think thats the network) they were filming episode 7 recently so at least if you have access to the internet, you can download the new episodes and watch them. I hate being left hanging especially after I've invested my time so that's what I'm going to do.

The monday night spot on CityTV will be filled with Law and Order UK,
not by The Playboy Club.
