The effect of 'One Million Moms' and other cry-baby parents on TPC

I didnt see any other topics on this, so I wanted to post and see what everyone thinks of 'One Million Moms' and how they affected this show?

I had just watched the first episode when I caught on the news about Moms up in arms about NBC airing a (gasp!) Playboy sitcom.

Apparantly this group of moms banded together to threaten NBC AND the advertisers associated with the series. Supposedly many advertizers backed out.

Obviously the flood of Debbie Downers are alive and well on these boards, but this show had great potential. Many compare it to Mad Men and say it was a knock off, well I for one didnt care as the only exposure to Mad Men I have had is yes, reading about it in my beloved subscription to Playboy Magazine

Nonetheless, it seems the dismal ratings dropped even faster after all these moms came together to protest the show.

For what I am not sure, since their precious angelic children they are trying to protect were probably watching internet porn while they thought up the campaign to 'Stop NBC and Hugh Hefner' or whatever the fv¢k they were doing.

Maybe without these cry baby moms going on, the show could have lasted at least 6 episodes and possibly picked up some critical praise?

They're a problem but the real problem here is NBC. They've canceled plenty of shows that deserved a chance. Apparently if a show isn't bringing in CSI like #'s after 3 episodes its over.

Apparently one million Moms don't care about
the sexual content of 2 broke girls(airing at
8:30)or about Two and a half men(airing at 9:00)
but were very worried about a show airing at
10:00 just because it featured the word Playboy
in the title.Go figure.

My thoughts exactly wildpeace.

Plenty of other programs on tv show worse than Playboy Club, not to mention what can be found on the internet.

These moms would rather sweep everything under the rug and hide it away from their precious ankle biters than to face up and talk to them about it.

If they are approaching it from "Playboy is sexist" angle, then they are way off because Hef was given women (and minorities for that matter) more exposure and freedom way before any civil rights movement ever did.

This is why, in a roundabout way, These 'one million mom' types are racist. By blocking progress they are showing they prefer certain groups to be subdued.

I don't care about what these 1 million mothers, or whoever, thought. I watched the show, and didn't really know much about the controversy. All I knew was that the show was an obvious "Mad Men" rip-off, except it sucked. Big time.

Hey, you dang woodchucks! Stop chucking my wood!
