Intense
Wow. That raid was the most intensive moment I’ve seen in TV since perhaps 24 Season 6’s nuclear bomb.
I’m really loving this season.

I am not invested in the raid thing. It is obvious that it was being
build up for something bad to happen, and it did.
We still do not really know who or what Brett is. He is sounding like
an Alex Jones type really, which means that his audience would not
really be the type to be wary of except the nutcases.
In the last season there was reason to think there were a lot of people
behind the overthrow of the government, but this show always hedges
and keeps anything from really solidifying. That is my main gripe.
Carrie has been a great character all these years, but they are being
very manipulative about her mental illness. That I don't really like
because the whole mental illness bipolar thing is not really something
that is real, it is a model sold to us by the pharmaceutical companies,
and making it sound like they know what they are doing with the meds
is weird.
I think if someone was screwed up enough that they had these problems
that Carrie has, they would simply not really be the high-functioning
bipolar person Carrie is portrayed to be. The whole structure of the show
starts to collapse. It was a clever gimmick for the show, but like most TV
shows they come to rely on it too much and stretch it too far.
I am more optimistic about this show now that a few episode have brought into focus what direction it is going. I am willing to ignore the weak points because the overall plot and substance of the show is go relevant.
