The implication was answered in Josh's rant about what makes a documentary. Jamie doesn't create documentaries with a plot or goal, he just films things that he finds interesting. Which makes his work just stuff someone filmed. But that idea was undercut by the fact that Jamie plotted out his whole documentary to just have the appearance of random discovery.
