First off, I loved this movie. But there are a couple things I think I was probably supposed to figure out and didn't:
What was going on with Wolfmann? I get that he was at the rehab place owned by Golden Fang and that the FBI knew he was there. But who really wanted him to be there and why?
That probably ties into my second question: I think Puck killed Glenn? But why?
This is just what I think... don't take my word for it, but I think he was there being brainwashed into going to do the casino thing at Vegas like benicio del torro's character mentioned and it showed in the paper afterwards.
I think he killed Glenn because of some beef within their circle? I'm not sure.
What I'm still wondering is why did bigfoot snatch all that dope and then just leave it with doc? Huh?
I think so to, but not only into doing the casino thing but also to change his mind on his "guilt trip" about how to do business, how his projects affect the lives of ordinary people (Tariq Khalil's neighbourhood etc.) He says something about how he spent his whole life making people pay for shelter but then he realised it was supposed to be for free and The Golden Fang is helping him wake up from this "bad hippie dream" so he will, once again be the ruthless businessman serving their neo-liberal agenda)
No, I think Glenn was killed by Adrian Prussia. Doc gets knocked out with a bat at the massage place and then placed beside Glenn's body. When Doc and Bigfoot meet in the Japanese restaurant he mentions that he knows Adrian Prussia and that he is a bad man using a baseball bat and when Doc visits his office there are bats all over the walls. But don't know why he does that.. maybe because he was doing business with the black prison gang.
Bigfoot took part od the dope and left enough for evidence for the police. Then he probably informed The Golden Fant that at least part of their dope was saved and that Doc has it. He did that so he (or the LAPD) would not get in trouble with the Golden Fang for taking their dope. That's what I guess happened but I may be wrong... This is such a great film to rewatch

The weird thing about that though is that right before Doc gets knocked out, gun shots can be heard outside of the parlor (I only heard them after I decided to watch the movie with the volume unusually high). I rewatched the scene on youtube with headphones to confirm, so I think Adrian knocked out Doc with the bat and while Puck shot down Glenn.
Still, I'm not too sure about Glenn though. One thing that's always forgotten is the squad of men moving in on Doc right after he shuffles into the parlor. I'm not sure who those guys are
If you're jivin' me my man, I say to you reply share
Yes that squad of men is one of the many things I hadn't even noticed on my first watch of the film that also made rewatches so amazing and funny. I have no idea who they are/ what they are supposed to mean. The thing is, if you think about that scene when Doc sees Bigfoot talking to him on the TV that is obviously a hallucination of some sort, you can't be really sure what is real and what is not. Maybe they just represent Doc's (and everyone else's) paranoia and PTA just thought it would be funny to add them. Or they are LAPD that follow Doc. Now i must watch it again
Anyways this is definitely my favourite film of 2014 and my favourite PTA film. I'd love to see it in cinema, that must be amazing. Unfortunately it wasn't playing anywhere near me...
Was great in the cinema. And I was lucky to have an almost empty one where the only others in there seemed to be in-tune with the Pynchon-PTA'ness of the film.
As Doc walks up to the trailer, he stops and looks behind him, and there's a squad of shadowy men following him and ducking onto the ground when they see him turn.

It was a set up. He knew Doc would give it back to the Golden Fang, and Bigfoot follows the people he gave it back to, which lead him to the Golden Fang boat. Hence, the bust of the boat after the exchange.

Plot Question (or characters): Why when Doc was talking to the FBI guys in that room were they, one as a time, shown picking their noses? Is this quirk or was this supposed to signify something. IT was quite humorous in (at least for the 12 year old boy in me).
I will say I fell asleep (movie wasn't boring I just had a root canal) and am going to try to watch again today.
