After finishing this movie my boyfriend literally said "I have no idea what I just watched and if I watched it a dozen times I still don't think I would have any idea what was going on." This coming from the most well-watched movie lover I know. In a word this movie ... Sucked. Sorry not sorry.

Then I decided to watch it again since I did get SOME enjoyment out of it the first time, I liked it more and understood more. Then I saw it again, understood more and liked it more than the last. And now...Well it's probably one of my favorite movies.
There's a lot to this movie that nobody will catch the very first time since the first viewing feels like some kind of weird contact high. This movie is pretty subtle about what it's trying to say so re-watches are usually essential if you care enough to watch it again. It's one of those movies where you kinda just have to go with the flow, then pick it apart over time. It looks rough and jagged on the surface but it's pretty beautiful in regards to its statement about the main characters and the setting itself.

I actually did understand what was going on. I just had zero inclination to care about it one bit. So don't even ask me to recall it. Why would I commit anything I watched in this film to memory? Total bore fest with not interesting happening at all. One of the worst films I've ever seen in theaters. I should have demanded a refund. This movie doesn't deserve a dime from me.
And anyone who disagrees must have a completely illogical set of criteria to judge movies, that must be devoid of entertainment or interest. Which you can sorta of see on this board. They are always making comparisons, and using past accomplishments to judge a film, then using mindless rhetoric to sum it all up. Like what would they do if they had to rate the first movie they ever saw after they first saw it? They would have no idea how to rank it unless they used other films and work to bounce it off. Which is ridiculous.
