Nonsensical premise...

I want to start by saying this was a fun movie and an absolute roller coaster ride, giving me some serious 'Lost' vibes and Truman show. But the premise makes zero sense, in fact it's so utterly nonsensical it ruins the whole film for me.

1) If you're immune to something, you are immune to it. Your body will be put under the required stress to cure itself on exposure to the virus.

2) If you had the exceptionally rare immune folks, why would you risk their lives and get rid of the only chance of a vaccine?

3) Why make a virtually no-win scenario? To get the key you had to kill one of these things with not even a pole arm.

4) What was the point of the memory wipe and what was the point of giving him the epi-pen to regain his memories?

5) Why stage their deaths? The kids just want to get out. Wouldn't that raise some serious questions like why they didn't just fly into the grove to save them? That thought hit me instantly and it was pretty painful to watch their utter disregard!

6) And finally, what moron would say climbing on top of the maze is pointless?! I get that it would be super hard to do but in context he said something like 'even if you could, what's the point?'

It's a shame because the movie was so good until the poorly thought out ending, which is now literally the core of these movies. If this movie was built the ground up, the reason for the trials are the very foundations. I feel like I can't even watch these movies because no matter how good some of the story elements might be, the whole thing makes no sense.
