Margot Robbies Pirates reboot: Drowned at sea

Another franchise spin-off she’d been attached to, a Pirates of the Caribbean film, is dead, she tells me. “We had an idea and we were developing it for a while, ages ago, to have more of a female-led—not totally female-led, but just a different kind of story—which we thought would’ve been really cool, but I guess they don’t want to do it,” she says of Disney.

Good. I would Rather have them continue the franchise where it left off. If Depo is unwilling to return have the Turner Family and other supporting characters dealing with the Return of Davy Jones. Otherwise I would not want to see another installment...

This franchise is done. Even the last one was a box office disappointment. Leave it lie.
