Does the book explain the title "John Dies at the End"...? He didn't die though.

In the Trivia section here on imdb, it says that the title refers to the fact that the story was originally published online one chapter at a time so that readers had to come back to see if John actually died.

The guy with the axe who got shot as they were escaping through the mine was also named John.

Nah... I'm kidding, probably.

But, just don't watch The Neverending Story... you'll be SO disappointed.
