No one seems to care that Persie was a Nazi

I'm watching for first time, on Season 2 Episode 5. What I can't understand is that when Lady Persie wanted to come home from Germany, and she was asked if it was due to political differences with Friedrich Erlichman, and/ (didn't she also have an affair w/ Ribbentrop?), she says "no," meaning "no, I too agree w/ the Nazis," then why is she welcomed home at all? I don't get that; everyone acts like it's just perfectly fine. So icky. Just wondering why that isn't given more attention or why she was welcomed home w/out forsaking her Nazi sympathizing?

She was one of the family.
