Can you just destroy the American Embassy in a foriegn country and expect the US not to retaliate like that?
I feel like if that happened, the rebels would be dealing with drones and/or special forces within a days time - at the very least private military like Blackwater on behalf of that American company.

Agreed 100%. This is an extremely unrealistic portrayal by Hollywood. The minute an American embassy comes under attack, alarm bells go out worldwide and there is an immediate military response. In this case since its Cambodia, there will probably be a carrier battle group that will start steaming towards the area immediately, and there will be planes and drones overhead in a matter of hours.
At least, that's the way it normally works, but Obama is president, (Benghazi), so who the *beep* knows?? This is probably an accurate portrayal of what will happen to an embassy under Obama.
First off, for you Obama bashers, you don't know what would happen in "real life". Also it was his admin that bagged bin Laden. But of course anything POSITIVE the POTUS does will be disregarded. Secondly,if you'd just stop and THINK before you send in drones, SEALs (since they're the only spec-ops/military unit that we need now. Guess my beloved Corps is no more. MARSOC could prove their worth) and mercs. Remember, these guys killing and destroying everything were REBELS. They were NOT the legitimate government. So I don't think blowing everything off the map before getting all the FACTS would make things WORSE. What may or may not happen would be (as I think either you or the other poster stated) a carrier battlegroup would be sent in to evacuate American citizens. And MAYBE to assist the legitimate government regain control.
