Pierce Brosnan's Speech Near the End...

ruins the film. He claims that the murderous thugs are actually victims, and that "they are only looking out for their own children".

Nonsense, people that indiscriminately murder women and children are animals. They deserve to be mowed down in the streets like rabid dogs.

Liberal moral relativism ruins what was an OK film.

reply

So you're saying that americans dropping bombs on cities and killing women and children deserve to be mowed down? Perfect, then hopefully the next 9/11 is around the corner since they have been murdering innocents in the middle east for 13 years now.

reply

We must have watched two different films. I didn't see any "Americans dropping bombs and killing women and children".

reply

I'm talking about the real world here. Your statement was quite general so I'm applying it generally.

he's right though.

Its all perspective.

Imagine yourself living in 3rd country standards and then you find out a foreign country is slowly being over taken by foreigners who plan to control your country and your children and their children's children.
They've struggled all their lives and they have nothing to live for except freedom.

Its perspectives.

reply

Saying "it's all perspectives" doesn't magically make him right. Not all perspectives are equal. If I say the earth is flat, and some other guy says it's a sphere, and you jump in yelling "hurr, it's all perspectives", you haven't added anything to the discussion, let alone helped us figure out what's actually true.

reply

What Pierce's character said has truth to it. It has happened in the real world.
It's totally appropriate for us to get reminded of this fact now and then.
